More details on new funding available for local groups

Poster for 2014 funding roundAs promised in our last post, here are more details about the next round of funding from Wood Street First.

Wood Street First is inviting applications from local voluntary and community groups for funding to improve the lives of local people. A total of £8,489 is available this year, with a minimum of £250 and a maximum of £2,500 for each project.

Projects need to address one or more of our five priorities. Projects also need to be able to match our funding pound-for-pound with funding from other sources, and/or with resources in kind (such as donated goods or volunteer time).

Download the Wood Street First Funding Application 2014 (Word 2003 format). There are 2014 Funding Application Guidance Notes too (pdf format). Contact the website admin if you have any problems downloading these documents.

Applications need to be submitted by email. They must be submitted by Monday 3rd February 2013. The email address is on the form. To avoid missing the deadline, please make sure you send your completed form direct to the address stated in the form. The email address for forms is a different email address to the contact email address given on this site.

The Wood Street First panel meeting is planned for later in February to decide which projects will be funded. Projects need to focus on Wood Street ward.

This is the third round of funding. For examples of projects funded in round 2 last year, see this post, and for projects funded in the first round in the summer of 2012, see this post.

News of any further funding will be announced on this website. So if you want to make sure you are kept informed, make sure you sign up to get updates via email (use the ‘get updates via email’ link on the right of this web page).

Good luck!
