Moving image artwork comes to Wood Street tonight (and this weekend)

Open signTonight (Weds 20 March) sees the premiere screening of THE QUEST FOR BRONZE TANNING, a new moving image artwork by Verity Jane Keefe. It runs from 6:30 – 9 pm at the 14th Walthamstow Scout Hall, 205a Wood Street E17 (note that this is the quieter end of Wood Street, between the train station and Chestnut Avenue North, quite close to the Pig and Whistle pub.)

There will be further matinee screenings at the same venue on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March 2013 from 2.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m.

Refreshments will be served, so why not check it out?

The event is part of Wood Street Inside Out, a project that seeks to enhance the character of Wood Street: restoring heritage buildings, providing new planting, signage, street furniture and shop frontages, and commissioning a number of art projects connecting and animating diverse spaces and communities. The programme is supported by London Borough of Waltham Forest and the Mayor’s Outer London Fund, which is helping increase the vibrancy and growth of high street places across London.
