Wood Street First is proud to announce that our chairman Graham Hodgkiss was joint winner of Waltham Forest Council’s ‘Citizen of the Year’ award. The award (sponsored by Hill Partnerships) is part of the Council’s Love Your Borough awards, which were announced earlier this month. The award is in recognition of Graham’s work with Wood Street First and the Wood Street Safer Neighbourhoods Panel.

Graham shared the award with Stephen Barnabis, director of The Soul Project, which is also based in Wood Street (and Stephen was for a time on the Wood Street First Panel).

It was a fine night for our neighbourhood, with an award also going to the Greenway Cricket Club. Graham thanked all those who supported him, and commented, “it was good to hear Wood Street mentioned so many times on and off the stage.”
